December 02, 2015 — Members of the Samahan ng mga Magsasaka ng Barangay Calo, Inc. of the Municipality of Bay, Laguna, accompanied by Bay Agriculture Office staff, visited Ato Belen’s Farm.
Since most members of the Samahan are Rice Farmers, we pushed for integration and diversification so they can multiply income opportunities and establish more revenue streams which would prove to be beneficial in times of natural disasters and calamities.
Asked if they enjoyed their visit, the participants quipped that ‘they learned a lot from the experience and are convinced to transform portions of their lands into integrated farms.’ They will be coming back to consult on orchard establishment.
